I've always pinned photos, drawings and maps to the walls in my room. It's always been the thing that has made me feel at home. Here I want to share pictures I find with anyone who also finds something remarkable about them.

There will also be little bits of writing every now and then.

Over the Rhine—The Laugh of Recognition

Again, Freud is rocking the cigar and cane in complete Viennese armor, while Jung is at least a little looser in his garb.

And as an example to filmmakers—the dimensions and form of small sailboats make great eye candy.

The vast differences between Jung’s relationship with Spielrein and with his wife, Emma.  Jung and Spielrein are very direct and affectionate, kink included, while Emma seems to be valued primarily as a mother. The top left picture shows the first time Jung appears in the movie outdoors without gloves on, even though his hands are passive.

For Jung enthusiasts the scene of their first kiss is where they first discuss the anima and animus.

After Jung’s trip to Vienna Vincent Cassel’s Otto Gross is introduced, who does not respect any boundaries of any kind. He is the first of three psychoanalysts who does not wear gloves. In fact, he doesn’t wear any hats, ties or vests. Likewise, he takes his drug of choice (cocaine to Freud’s and Jung’s nicotine) pinched between his fingers then applied to his mouth, which is a marked contrast to Jung’s pipe that always insures a gap between him and the drug. Part of his disregard for conventions, Gross is always touching stuff, rummaging through Jung’s shelves and letters, pocketing what strikes his fancy. Furthermore, sex is through his hands, as he gropes a woman and nothing more, though it seems differently at first.
